- The Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service (黒鷺死体宅配便, Kurosagi Shitai Takuhaibin) is a horror manga series written by Eiji Ōtsuka and drawn by Housui Yamazaki. First published in Kadokawa Mystery, the series later (October 2006) transferred to the companion publication Shōnen Ace, and now published in the magazine Young Ace.
- The Shirosagi Corpse Cleaning Service. They basically do the opposite of what Kurosagi does, which is help corpses. The gangsters in Volume 14 who impersonate the Kurosagi group but dispose of corpses for people. Psycho Serum: Volume 11 has a short story about a serum that contain viruses used in gene therapy.
- Usually, the corpses found by the Kurosagi gang are murder victims looking for some kind of compensation. And by the case's end they receive it. Kikuchi's backstory is a reference to the JAL 123 plane crash. One of the panels in her flashback is even directly inspired by infamous tabloid pictures of a corpse in a tree at the crash site.
- Death by Falling Over: One of Kurosagi's clients in Vol. 8 was a woman who tripped and fell down a staircase. She was subject to a posthumous marriage ritual that weds two spirits after death, and the ghost she was supposed to "marry" killed her by pulling on her leg as she was climbing down.
