- The VF-1 Valkyrie is referred to as a variable fighter in the series Macross, but this is changed to the term veritech fighter in the Robotech series.
- Build it and leave it. The VF-1S (Fokker) Valkyrie kit is a magnificent piece of engineering. Able to transform from Fighter to GERWALK to Battroid without part swapping, this bird is an impressive kit.
- In 2001, Big West commissioned Hasegawa Corporation to manufacture new 1/72 model kits of the VF-1. As Hasegawa's products are geared towards more experienced modelers, their Valkyrie kits are very accurately detailed.
