Kimi ga Nozomu Eien ~Next Season~ is an alternate re-telling of the original KimiNozo, or Rumbling Hearts in English. Rather than choosing Mitsuki, like in the original, this 4 episode OVA follows the story where Takeyuki chooses to follow Haruka instead.
Tanya is a young blonde, blue-eyed girl who is the reincarnation of a cold-hearted, atheistic, and social-darwinistic Japanese salaryman (briefly voiced by Kōsuke Toriumi in Japanese, and Josh Grelle in English). She is a mage with magical powers that enable her to fly and fire explosive bullets from guns.
Structure-wise, it is probably one of the best drama anime, due to its non-stop, suspenseful, concise storytelling in only 14 episodes. The mistake of many drama series is to drag out the same dramatic plot for 24 episodes, but Kimi ga Nozomu Eien knows when to stop so the drama doesn't grow tedious.

In the final episode, she walked to the hilltop in which her and her friends used to hang out and she met Takayuki, who decided to be with her. She tried to run away, but he tells her that he loves her and she is not simply Haruka's replacement anymore, since he said goodbye to Haruka.
The story follows the main character Takayuki Narumi, and his relationships with his schoolmates Haruka Suzumiya and Mitsuki Hayase. Fourteen episodes were produced for the Rumbling Hearts series, broadcast between October 2003 and January 2004.
After a lot of conversations, Mitsuki and Takayuki finally decided to live together for a while, and at the beginning of the series, before Haruka woke up, they are seen looking to rent a bigger place to live together.
