About the Author
Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro made his debut in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1996. He is best known for Seikimatsu Leader Den Takeshi! for which he won the 46th Shogakukan Manga Award for children's manga in 2001. His current series, Toriko, began serialization in Japan in 2008.

Even though the anime was a good memory (although it had many bad flows), and ill miss the voices and music, after what we've seen in the last episodes, its now at a point of ABSOLUTELY NO RETURN.

How did Toriko get his scars?
In it, Toriko is a pro-Gourmet Hunter (much like in the current story) who has been hired by Komatsu to help capture the fearsome Baron Bison. During his fight with the Baron Bison, this vicious beast managed to give Toriko his three distinctive scars with its whip-like tail.
