Seeing his wife dead again finally breaks Hajime down, surfacing the guilt and regret he has been carrying all these years. In a fit of tears, he reflects upon his hatred towards Ayumi and apologizes to Tsugumi. He finally accepts his fate, expecting Tsugumi to pull the string and send him to Hell.

Hell Girl (地獄少女 Jigoku Shōjo) is an anime series produced by Aniplex and Studio Deen. Directed by Takahiro Omori, the 26 episode series aired in Japan from October 4, 2005 to April 4, 2006. The series was originally licensed and dubbed by FUNimation in 2007, before letting the license expire in 2013.
The second season, titled Hell Girl: Two Mirrors (地獄少女 二籠, Jigoku Shōjo Futakomori), was also directed by Takahiro Ōmori and written by Hiroshi Watanabe and details the past of each of Ai's followers and then the story of a boy named Takuma Kurebayashi.
